Customer Relations and Business Development Manager
Over the years, I have worked for companies that are leaders in their field of advertising, sales and marketing. I have gained invaluable knowledge and experience, undertaking a variety of training, including coaching, training, product and system training, negotiating skills, time management, customer service, copywriting, rapport building, sales techniques, search engine marketing and the list goes on.
By sheer chance, my name was passed on to Adam and we met to chat about the possibility of joining the Gecko Logistics Group team as a Customer Relations and Business Development Manager.
The role appealed to me as there was no heavy sales aspect and the passion and commitment Adam displayed was impressive. I’ve been working at Gecko Logistics Group now for a few months, and I’ve got to say, I love it. I’d been looking for a customer service orientated role where I could concentrate on what I was good at, which is providing good service and building long term business relationships, and being able to utilizing the skills I have acquired over the years.
The support and development opportunities I have been given have exceeded my initial expectations and it’s unlike any other business I have worked in. I feel my abilities and opinions are respected and that I play a vital role in the ongoing success of Gecko Logistics.
The challenges that are thrown my way are exciting and every day seems to be different. From visiting existing customers, researching the industry, creating data bases and prospecting for new customers through to copy writing, networking and creating social media campaigns, I get the opportunity to speak to a variety of businesses about a wide range of issues involved with transport.
Part of my role is to keep both existing and potential customers across key issues and make sure theyreceive the information they need, at the right time, in a way that suits them. As the challenges are constantly changing and I’m called upon to juggle projects as well as delivering the day to day job, I was prompted to set up a range of new communications channels to ensure this the information was readily available.
I’ve had plenty to get my teeth into and it’s been great having the chance to get involved and assist people face to face. This incorporates good communications and listening skills and bundles of energy and enthusiasm, and providing feedback that allows Gecko to better their services and grow.
Adam is a fantastic employer to work for. He takes the time to listen to feedback, both good and bad, and uses the information to better the business. He invests in his staff, has an open mind and rewards hard work. His motivation and dedication to provide the best transport and customer service has resulted in the growth of the company.
Gecko Logistics is a very professional organization and because of this, I have confidence in the ability and commitment of the entire team to deliver on the information I convey to our customers and guarantee will happen in the specified time frame.
The other role I have and love is that of a mother. I have a gorgeous 10 year old son and he definitely keeps me on my toes! He has a cheeky sense of humor and never fails to make my partner and I laugh. Gardening, spending time with friends and family, interior decorating and watching movies are a few of the things I like to do in my downtime, not to mention an occasional cheeky glass of wine J
I really enjoy working with the team at Gecko Logistics. I came to the job with a clear set of expectations and I have not been disappointed.
