A flat bed truck or trailer consists of a chassis fitted with a flat platform body. Most of the delivery trucks you see on the road would be considered flatbed vehicles. Cargo or equipment is carried on the deck and secured with either ratchet straps or chains. Twist locks are fitted to each corner of the flat bed to secure shipping containers.
With just a load floor, they can carry almost anything that can be stacked on and strapped down using the correct technique and equipment.
Flat Beds are designed and utilised for the transportation of pallets and general freight as well as building materials, heavy equipment and construction machinery.
